JP Croake focuses his practice on complex corporate and real estate matters. Mr. Croake takes pride in counseling his business clients on all aspects of a company’s lifecycle from formation and growth to exit.  Clients value Mr. Croake’s creative solutions and “value-first” philosophy. Mr. Croake advises clients ranging from startups to established companies on a broad range of corporate matters, including mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, finance, contract negotiations, and professional service agreements. He provides strategic counsel on growth initiatives, including representing clients in the healthcare and automotive sectors. Notable transactions include the representation of a national veterinary services company in its sale to a global private equity firm with a deal value of $400MM.

Mr. Croake’s real estate practice includes representing clients with respect to a wide variety of commercial and residential matters, including acquisitions and dispositions, land use, construction, development, lending and finance, 1031 tax-deferred exchanges, tenancy in common (TIC) investments, and leasing. Notably, Mr. Croake has represented numerous middle-market real estate funds (over $100MM) in the identification, due diligence, and acquisition of target properties on a national basis.

Mr. Croake’s legal career includes tenure at Husch Blackwell, LLP, an Am Law 100 firm, as well as his role as a Partner at Stafford Rosenbaum LLP, a highly respected Wisconsin-based law firm. Mr. Croake earned his Bachelor of Arts in English from Hunter College and his Juris Doctor from Marquette University. Mr. Croake is admitted to practice by the Wisconsin State Bar.
